So sad to hear this news. Ron always had a smile and a laugh ready to share. ❤️

Ron,  I was caught off guard when my sister Colleen called me with the  notice of your leaving us. You were a big part of the glue that held my memories of West from Freshmen to  Senior together, football, other sports, glee club and other high school functions together along with setting up a 'snap' at the reunions (too bad there wasn't someone to move out of your way).

On behalf of the West High Sports Reunion, I extend our sincere sympathy to the Willoughby Family. 
Ronnie’s sudden and shocking passing hurts all the more and our hearts go out to all those who love him. He was not only a great athlete, but also a gentleman , war hero, husband and father and grandfather. He was highly respected by the West High alumni and sports community and never missed attending our biennial sports reunion. We will miss him, but make sure to remember and honor him at our next reunion in 2025.

It's with a heavy heart I'm thinking of all the good memories with Ron. Ron had a way of making his friends feel special and that his friendship was sincere. His passing has affected so many and he will be truly missed.  My heartfelt sympathy to Donna and family.💔

To Donna & Family,
I am so sorry to hear Ron passed. He was a kind and caring friend from our days at West High to our more recent get togethers at The Bullfrog. I know he will be missed by many, me included. My heartfelt sympathy to you all.

Sorry for the loss of a great man.  First met Ron in 1964 at Heidelberg College.  He left for the Marines and I did not see him for many years.  In 2018, we made sure he attended a reunion at the school.  He has been filling me Facebook messenger ever since.  RIP

Mr. Willoughby will always be remembered as a man's man.  A great person and a sincere friend to our family.  He will always be remembered not only as a hero who served  the marines and our country but as a kind man who is respected beyond measure.  May god bless the Willoughby family in this tough time but know he is now one of gods main Angel's and always know his legacy will never be forgotten.

Chui Lai, Vietnam (1966) when I met Ron.  Found out  he was was an Ohio native also. We became friends. Learned, he to was a wrestler , but a better  prankster than me.  
Semper Fi buddy.

RIP Sergeant. Viet Nam was where I met Ron. He was always looking out for the Cleveland guys. He had a relaxing way about him that made us feel that everything was going to all right.

Ron was my Marine Brother who I  loved very much. Our paths never crossed in Vietnam. Over the years we had many conversations. Can't wait to see him in Heaven!

Dear, dear Ron, I cannot believe you are gone from us. My fondest memories are those of playing with you and Michael. Even though you guys  were the younger cousins, you still could get the best of us, maybe because we were girls. You were my favorite cousin. I will miss you, I rest assured knowing I will see you again. I know Bill, Jr greeted you saying "what are you doing here"

Dear Donna and family,
I don’t think you remember me, Monica Scoon Bilardo, but I taught at West High School where I had Ron in class. He was a super young man as I remember. Gerri Mann, Bob Hultz and the Herman triplets have stayed in touch with me and Gerri sent a text telling me of Ron’s death. My heart and my prayers go out to you and your family . At 19 I lost my dad very suddenly of a massive heart attack do I understand the shock and grief you are going through.. May you feel the presence of our Lord guiding you through these dark days.

When a lifelong friend passes, like Ron, a bit of yourself dies. God has given us time together in the past. Now we grieve.  Later we will be together again, Spirits in the Sky. Love you Ron.
