

Andrew Thomas Blackman of Malibu, California passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at the age of 40. He was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1984 in Los Angeles, California and spent most of his life in Malibu.
He graduated from Hawaii Pacific University in 2012.
Andrew felt deeply connected to Malibu and the ocean. He loved music, especially John Lennon and the Beatles. He kept active with surfing, skateboarding, and playing the drums and piano. He had a passion for boxing and revered Muhammad Ali, not only as a boxing champion, but as a courageous leader for humanity. His interests in martial arts also motivated him to travel to Thailand where he trained at a Muay Thai camp for 6 weeks.
He loved movies, and greatly admired the works of Directors Stanley Kubrick and Quentin Tarantino.
Andrew had a huge place in his heart for all animals, but none more so than his beloved dog, Butters.
Andrew is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Beatrice and Joseph Blackman and maternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Frank Semrad, and his Uncle John Blackman.
He is survived by his loving parents, Joan and Robert Blackman, brother Kerry (Niki) Blackman, sister Tessa (David) Vassegh, niece Adriana Vassegh, and nephews Joseph Vassegh and Beau and Elliot Blackman.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park (5600 Lindero Canyon Rd., Westlake Village) on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 10:00 am, with burial to follow.
