Barbara Ann Davidson

Barbara Ann Davidson, 79, of Simi Valley, California, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2024. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew her.

Barbara grew up in Des Moines, Iowa where she was raised by her beautiful parents Robert William Babbitt, Sr and Florence Gertrude Babbitt, both deceased.

Barbara worked as the store manager for Dana Drugs, in Burbank, California for years and later worked in catering at the Orleans in Las Vegas. She was well liked by her community and those she worked with.

Barbara was an avid reader and a talented poetry writer, later writing a book and often shared her beautifully crafted writings with friends and family. She found joy in the great outdoors, spending much of her younger years camping, hiking, and fishing. Her love for nature was evident in the many adventures she embarked upon throughout her life.

Barbara loved good food and spirits and had a special place in her heart for old Hollywood establishments, like Musso and Franks and the Smoke House. Of course a good quarter pounder with cheese (no ketchup or pickles) from McDonalds and chocolate in any form were fan favorites.

She is survived by her loving sister, Florence Elizabeth Babbitt; her devoted daughter, Deanna Louise Farnell; her cherished granddaughters, Rachel Louise Farnell and Natalie Ann Farnell; and her first love (ex-husband and Father of Deanna) Louis Ray Davidson. Barbara's memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

A private celebration of life will be held for close family and friends on her birthday, October 6th, location to be determined.
