Kenny was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather; his happiest moments were when surrounded by his family. He was a devoted husband of 19 years to Eileen Kaplan (nee Reiss); and caring father for his three children, three stepchildren, and their spouses; his son Matt and his wife Catherine; his daughter Melissa and her fiancé Michael; his son Andy; Jeff Ziskin and his wife Yanti; Andy Ziskin and his wife Claudette; Emily Totman (nee Weiss) and her husband Eddie. Kenny is remembered as a loving grandfather to his seven grandchildren: Lucy, Ava, Chloe, Ari, Mia, Jane, and Zara.
Kenny was a successful real estate investor growing the family business to unprecedented success. He loved his favorite sports teams, especially his UCLA Bruins. A generous supporter of UCLA Athletics, Kenny attended thousands of games over almost 60 years, traveling around the country for their biggest events.
He was most happy when the family was together, be it on trips to Hawaii or backyard barbeques. He found great joy attending his grandkids’ games, recitals, and performances. He also enjoyed traveling, watching movies, and the performing arts.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks (5600 Lindero Canyon Road Westlake Village, CA 91362) at 2pm.
