Don devoted much of his professional life to serving others. He established his State Farm Insurance career in 1971 and spent more than three decades providing trusted service to his community. His agency consistently ranked among the top tier of State Farm offices throughout the country. After nearly 40 years of success, Don retired approximately 20 years ago, leaving behind a legacy of integrity, dedication and professionalism.
He was also a devoted and ardent Little League and Soccer coach leading baseball and soccer teams to numerous victories.
Beyond his career, Don lived life with enthusiasm and passion. He was an avid sports fan who faithfully followed the Los Angeles Dodgers and enjoyed pro football with equal devotion. A skilled golfer, Don took great pride in his remarkable achievement of six holes-in-one, and accomplishments that reflected both his talent and his love for the game.
Don is survived by his devoted wife, Mary, with whom he united two incredible families through their marriage: their four children, Lauren (Scott), Brian (Wendy), Amanda (Elias), and Chris (Lindsey); eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by loving wife Ardith and his daughter Julie.
Don’s legacy of hard work, humor and love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
