

Dusty was born in Van Nuys, California on August 23, 1948, the son of the late William Behrman and Lucille Barrows.
Dusty enlisted in the United States Army at age 17. He served proudly beginning with the 82nd Airborne Brigade and then the 173rd Airborne Brigade. During that time, he served 5 tours in Vietnam 1967 through 1969 and was awarded a Silver Star, three Bronze Stars, and a Purple Heart. His patriotism was reflected throughout his life and he was very humble about his military service.
During his break in military service, he spent 5 years racing motorcycles fulltime which was culminated by a National Championship holding the #1 plate in American Road Racing Association.
Following his racing career, he dedicated his life to helping people. For 29 years he worked his way from Orthopedic Technologist/Surgical First Assist to a Department Lead, and retired as the Department Administrator of Orthopedics, Podiatry, and Ophthalmology.
He lives on through his wife, Donna, his eldest daughter Lynette and her husband Grant, his son Jeffrey and his wife Michelle, and his youngest daughter Catie Lu and fiancée James, his sister LuLeta and her husband Sam, his grandchildren Shelby, and Amanda (Joe), Amber, great grandchildren, Ayden, Timmy, Lilly, and numerous extended family members and adopted family members that were very important to him and who touched his life in a good way. To many he was a true hero.
