

Herb was raised in South Bend, ID, until the age of 18; that is when he decided to begin his adventures life in Los Angeles Ca. Herb was one unique character. He was a member of the Army National Guard. He studied at Loyola University and College of Law. He was retired accountant, police, Deputy District Attorney and Judge of Los Angeles; practice law till the end. Was a Judo instructor; Herb had a big heart for scuba diving and was able to open his own stores, traveled the world working as a scuba course director for Padi and EFR instructor trainer, as well as a Dan instructor. Later becoming a General Manager for Sport Chalet. Since he was a boy had a passion of flying and was a pilot as well.
Herbert touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity; he was an inspiration and maintained his trademark of sense of humor all the way to the end.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ruben and Rebecca Zinman, brother: Howard Zinman: son Payam Lakestani. Survived by his wife Carmen Zinman, daughters Tracie , Amber , and Hayley, grandchildren Sebastian, Josh and Holly, brothers Ira Zinman, Jerry Zinman
