Born in Newaygo, Michigan on February 20, 1925, to Clifford and Lella Frede, she grew up with five sisters and one brother, mostly in Ohio. On October 4, 1952, she married the love of her life, Adam ("Jim") Consolatti. Starting off in Westfield, Massachusetts, over the years they would live in five different states (Ohio, Michigan, Alabama, California, and Mississippi) as her husband pursued a career in corporate finance, relocating to southern California in 1983 when her husband retired. They moved to Thousand Oaks in 1988, which they enjoyed together for 17 years before Adam died in 2005.
Idahmae was a gracious hostess and a homemaker for over 65 years. She loved books, classic movies, painting, music and dancing. She was also an avid golfer at one time. Strong and knowledgeable as well as stylish and elegant, she was our touchstone.
Idahmae is survived by her three children: Catherine Black, Allen Consolatti and his wife Kathleen, and Carla Levi and her husband Moshe; five grandchildren: Leah, Clay, Naomi, Jenna, and Adam; four great-grandchildren: Anna, Caroline, Jack, and Caden; brother, Ray Frede; and sisters, Glenna Floan and Patricia Johnson.
