James George Maller, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to all he met along the way passed on June 29, 2023, at the age of 85. He is survived by his wife Margaret (Margi), children Jane (Jenny) and Jaime, and their husbands and children.
Jim was born in Los Angeles and attended Los Angeles High School. He and Margi married in 1978, started a family and moved to Agoura Hills in 1985. A natural salesman, he made friends anywhere he visited, with a knack for finding Los Angelenos and Ventura County residents on family vacations. He was an avid fly fisherman who would drive to Bridgeport, CA multiple times a year to fly fish and relax in the mountains.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 19, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to noon, at St Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 5575 Santa Rosa Rd., Camarillo, CA 93012. Following the funeral, there will be a graveside service from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Memorial Park, 5600 Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake Village, CA 91362. Following that, there will be a reception after the burial in the Lakeside Room at the Westlake Village Inn, 31943 Agoura Rd, Westlake Village, CA 91361.
