James Rohlfs (Jim) of Oak Park, CA passed away on December 26, 2024, at home at the age of 90. He is survived by his three children, Ron, Beth and Kathie, as well as his grandchildren Justin, Natalie and Kevin.
He and his wife Nancy raised their family in Northridge, CA, in the San Fernando Valley. Jim waterskied, was a good golfer, and had a green thumb. He was active with the Northridge United Method Church and was a member of a group who planted a rose garden that is still there today.
Jim grew up in the farm belt region of central Illinois, the youngest and last surviving member of seven (7) siblings. He had a 45+ year career with Aerojet Rocketdyne in their military defense division, which then became Rockwell International Corporation, and is now the Boeing Company.
He enjoyed the last 10 years of his life living in Oak Park, CA, in close proximity to his grandchildren.
