Janese Mary Sartore

A creative visionary in every sense, Janese was a floral designer, chef, interior stylist, and creative mastermind whose every touch turned the ordinary into extraordinary. Her work spoke in color, texture, flavor, and feeling—and so did her life.

She was the heart and soul of her family: a devoted mother to her eldest daughter, son, and youngest daughter, and a joyful grandmother to three adored grand-babies. She now rejoins her beloved husband in heaven, where love sails on without end.

Janese filled her days with the things that brought her joy and made the world brighter—sailing with her late husband their sailboats Lady J and Harmony under clear expansive skies, sipping Rombauer Chardonnay, cooking meals that brought people together, nurturing her garden, laughing (and winning!) over card games, traveling, golfing, and going on unforgettable girls’ trips with her dear friends. A lover of books and lifelong learner, she was deeply rooted in her faith, often found reading her Bible or seeking quiet moments of spiritual reflection. Her love for creating beauty in experience was matched only by her love for others.

Her presence razzle dazzled - she was classy, elegant, soulful, and full of life. She gave endlessly, created fearlessly, and loved deeply. Her legacy is not only seen in what she made, but in how she made others feel: welcomed, seen, and cherished.

A Celebration of Her Life and Cheers to Her Legacy will be held at the dawn of summer—fitting for a woman who lived in full bloom. Friends and loved ones are invited to gather, raise a glass, and celebrate the artistry, joy, and love that Janese brought into the world.

In her honor, do something beautiful: plant, cook, gather, create—and love big (remember to wear lipstick!)
