Judy Mary Shrum (February 2, 1946 - July 26, 2016) passed away peacefully in her home in WestlakeVillage at the age of 70. The youngest of four siblings, she was born to Alexander and Helen Poolet inRahway, New Jersey. She spent the majority of her life in New Jersey, retiring to California in 2008.
Judy leaves behind her loving son Scott Eugene Shrum, daughter-in-law Anita, and two adoring granddaughters, Diana and Eleanor. She was preceded in death by her dear husband of more than 37 years, Eugene Raymond Shrum.
Judy devoted her life to her family, working nights while Scott was young so she could spend her days with him. In her later years, she loved spending time with friends, enjoying a good meal, and most of all just being with her granddaughters.
Services will be held in Westlake Village, CA (Pierce Brothers Mortuary, Saturday, July 30, 10am) and Clinton, NJ (Martin Funeral Home, Thursday, August 11, 5pm). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judy's name to the American Cancer Society.
