Lisa Marie Jones, age 55, from Tucson, Arizona passed away on November 16, 2019 at Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks, California. She was born on August 10, 1964 in Castle Shannon, Pennsylvania to Judith Lee Blum and Robert Bruce Hamilton. Lisa was married to David Bachar and Steven Stratton before finally marrying her soul mate Kenneth V. Jones in 2002. They remained married until the time of her passing 17 years later.
It was apparent early on that Lisa was a gifted student, as she was placed into the mentally gifted classification. Lisa was often awarded and recognized for her accomplishments especially in poetry. In addition to writing poetry, Lisa was an accomplished pianist, athlete, dancer and big sister. She excelled at dancing and was immediately placed in the next higher age-group due to her talent. Lisa consistently made the honor roll through her schooling and served as the President of the Honor Society in college at San Diego State University.
Lisa had many jobs in which she excelled before finally landing at AoN Risk Management Services obtaining the designation Associate in Risk Management. Lisa was hand selected by executives at AoN to become part of a new construction division in which she assumed human resource responsibilities. Lisa often led presentation and meetings which resulted in the newly formed division becoming the leading money earner for the company. Lisa gave up a successful career at AoN to be more available to raise her son Michael, which she always stated as her greatest achievement. Lisa self-learned another portable career, which she also excelled at to be able to travel and move with her husband's career, medical transcription and editing. It came as no surprise that numerous doctors were asking for Lisa by her initials "LMJ" to solely work on their accounts. While stationed overseas in Kazakhstan with her husband’s work, she was even tapped by the U.S. Embassy to transcribe meeting notes from then Secretary of State Clinton who was in country to meet with the host nation government.
Lisa had a love for life and enjoyed people and her family. Everyone who met Lisa always gravitated to her positive personality. Lisa always found a way to make the lives of people around her better. She constantly provided words of encouragement and sound advice. Lisa enjoyed astrology and numerology, which she often shared with those around her. She most recently moved to Tucson, Arizona where she enjoyed taking in the mountain views and watching the cacti bloom.
Lisa is survived by her husband Kenneth, her son Michael and wife Jessel, Mother Judith and her husband William, Father Robert and his wife Jo-Ann, Sister Pam and husband Kevin, and Sister Trisha, Brother Rory, sister Shari and husband Ron, brothers Russ and Michael, and numerous nieces and nephews Connor, Megan, Jack, Daniel, William, Thomas, Samantha, and Robert.
A Celebration of Life will be held for family at The Westlake Village Inn located at 31943 Agoura Rd, Westlake Village, CA 91361, in the Lakeside Room from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday, November 23rd.
