

Peter J. Candreva of Westlake Village CA. age 90 passed away in the early morning hours of February 4th 2015 at the Los Robles Regional Medical Center.
Pete was born February 20 1925 at the Pacific Hospital in Los Angeles CA to Ione Marguerite Bowers and John Earl Candreva.
He grew up in Los Angeles attending the 24th St Elementary School, Mount Vernon Jr High School, he graduated Dorsey High School in 1942 and enlisted in the Army Air Force where he served with the 10th Weather Squadron in the China-India-Burma Theater until his discharge in 1946. After the war he married Kathleen Mae McAferty and attended the University of Southern California on the GI bill obtaining his degree in Architecture in 1952.
He worked for a series of local (Los Angeles) architects until he opened his own office with two other fellow USC graduates in 1956.
In 1969 he joined the Architectural firm of Benton and Park forming Benton, Park and Candreva where he remained until his retirement 31 years later. Even after retirement he continued to work out of his home office where he completed many Architectural projects and served on several local Architectural Committees until the day he passed.
He was a long time resident of Westlake Village, residing there since 1968.
Peter is proceeded in death by his wife Kathleen, daughter Lisa Marie and his younger sister Virginia.
Survivors include his sons Jeffery and John, Grandson Blake, Granddaughter Kimberly and life partner Linda Slayter.
