

Ms. Sheila Ann Channing, of Thousand Oaks, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born on September 25, 1943 in London, England to John and Doreen Channing.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, John and Doreen Channing and her son, Peter Cline.
She was loved by so many including her family and friends from near and far. Many of her close friends were made through her involvement in the Agoura Hills Community Church. Sheila enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Sheila attended Exeter College in England before moving to Virginia where she continued her education at the College of William & Mary. After her time there, she moved to San Francisco where she worked for five years as a computer programmer for Wells Fargo. Her love for travel took her to Hawaii where she lived and worked as a computer programmer for the State of Hawaii. She met her (now former) husband, Glen Cline in Hawaii where they had their children Peter and Stephanie. Glen’s job brought them to Southern California where they settled in Agoura Hills. Sheila later worked as an Executive Assistant at Amgen in Newbury Park.
Sheila is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Lorntzen, son-in-law, Robert Lorntzen, and grandchildren, Blake, Carter and Lexi Lorntzen of Thousand Oaks, as well as her brother, Steve Channing and nieces Lily Channing and Alison Mackin of Louth, England.
The Celebration of Life service to honor the life of Sheila Ann Channing will be held on March 20th at 2:00pm at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Memorial Park, Westlake Village with the interment immediately following. A family visitation will be held at 4:00pm at Sunset Hills Country Club. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
