Susan worked for decades as a 3rd grade teacher at Valley Lindo Elementary school until her retirement. She loved animals and was an avid dog owner. Susan was spunky and humorous. She had a contagious sense of humor, making others, including friends and strangers alike, laugh. She enjoyed listening—and often singing along—to Fifties and Motown music. She was an expert at naming any singer or band from this genre.
Susan is survived by a loving daughter, Jenny (Eric) Beaupre, twin grandchildren Felix and Violet, sister Rae (Steve) Sweet, nephew Mark (Carmel) Sweet, nephew Brad (Karley) Sweet, and many dear relatives and friends. Susan was widowed in 2008 when her beloved husband Bill Webber died from brain cancer.
The family would like to acknowledge the kindness and generosity, in time and spirit, of the caregivers from Comfort Keepers who permitted Susan to maintain dignity, health and independence at her home.
She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who is now resting peacefully next to her husband.
A graveside service will be held at noon on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Pierce Bros. Mortuary in Westlake Village.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the National Brain Tumor Foundation or a charity of your choice.
