

Mrs. Freeman was born December 7, 1938 in Ventura. She graduated from Ventura High School in 1956 where she was a cheerleader, sang in the choir, director in Student Government and California Scholarship member. She then graduated from Ventura Collage 1958 where she was head cheerleader, sang in choir, Sigma K Princess and Scholarship Society. Her BS in Business degree and secondary teaching credential degree are from the University of Southern California 1960.
Mrs. Freeman taught at Pierce College and then partnered with her husband Philip C Freeman to found Data Select Systems, Inc. 1982 in Westlake Village where she spent 39 years as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and member of the Board of Directors.
In addition to her husband of 62 years, Phil, she is survived by son Jon Freeman of Hidden Hills, daughter Kym Freeman and son-in-law Armando Bustillo of Malibu, sister Nancy and brother-in-law Dick Kellogg of Palos Verdes, grandchildren Chase Freeman of Irvine, Cassidy Freeman of Hidden Hills, and Darielle Bustillo Freeman of Malibu.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Mortuary and Internment will be private at Pierce Brothers in Westlake Village.
A celebration of life “Fiesta” will be held on Saturday, January 29 from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. at the family home “Hacienda Matilija” in Hidden Hills. Family and friends are invited. Please RSVP at (818) 888-0467 for guarded gate entry.
