Linh Dan was an incredibly strong person. Life dealt her a poor hand from the start but yet she endured and prevailed. She was a loud person and at times doesn’t understand her surroundings, but yet that’s part of her charm. She was a good intentioned, caring person. I find her a joy to be around and to talk with. In the short amount of time that I’ve spent with her, she told me many stories of her life; the struggles of growing up as a refugee, her relationships with others, her family, and most importantly her beloved daughters. After all of her struggles she deserves more time to enjoy it among family filled with happy gatherings and laughter. I am deeply sadden her time was cut short when life is finally good to her. But let life remind us, Tempus Neminem Manet. Farewell Linh, I’m sorry. 

My mom is not someone who is soft spoken or in any way easy to deal with, but she's a strong woman who sacrificed a lot to take care of me through the years. While our relationship has been complicated, I've always loved my mom more than I can ever really explain. She does things with the best of intentions. She loves the people around her so much. She was always a woman with a big personality and she drew so many people into her circle. It amazes me that such a exuberant woman with her loudness and energy could be gone. I will miss her so much.
