Alverna A., 84, formerly of River Vale, NJ passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015. She was born in Hackensack, NJ to Louis and Alice Neumann. Beloved wife of the late Leo P. Ippolito, Sr. Devoted mother of Jane Hackworth (Larry), Nancy Galeano (Pablo), Patricia Ippolito, Leo P. Ippolito, Jr. (Jennifer), Anthony Ippolito (Regina), John Ippolito (Mary), Vincent Ippolito (Melissa), Frank Ippolito and her step-daughter Lucille Ippolito. Dear sister of Selma Collins. Alverna is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Wednesday, January 14 from 2-4 and 7-9PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating Alverna’s life and faith will be held at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Hillsdale, NJ on Thursday, January 15 at 10AM. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Tenafly, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Alverna’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
