

Angelo Piccirillo, 94, of Hillsdale, owner of Angelo's Ristorante in Lyndhurst, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Tuesday evening, March 26. Angelo was born and raised in Auburn, NY, and served in Europe with the 393rd Infantry during the Second World War. He is known to generations of patrons as the charismatic host of his namesake restaurant, and remained active in the business until recently. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Lucy (DeGaetano), daughters Diane (Mark) Iocolano and Lisa (Robert Lewis) Piccirillo, granddaughters Chloe and Talia Lewis, of New York; his brother Vincent Piccirillo and sister Ada Piccirillo, of Auburn; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 pm, Monday, April 1, at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd, Westwood. A funeral mass will be offered at 10:30 am, Tuesday, April 2, at St. John the Baptist RC Church, 69 Valley St, Hillsdale, prior to interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Washington Township .
