Arlene F. Mulhern

Beloved wife of Richard Mulhern, her husband of 57 years. Devoted and loving mother of Maureen, Michael, Thomas (Danielle), and John (Carol).

Proud Mema of Mackenzie, Mason, Alyssa, and Kylie.

Arlene was predeceased in death by her parents, Ann and John Cosgrove, three sisters, Janet, Lois, and Diane, and her brother, Jack. Adored aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, she lived in Weehawken, NJ for 30 years before moving to Emerson, NJ.

Arlene was a devout Catholic. Her life was marked by a deep connection to her roots and steadfast spirit. In her early years, she attended Holy Family Church in Union City, NJ, where she also married the love of her life on April 27, 1968. After moving to Emerson, NJ in 1973, she became a faithful parishioner of Church of the Assumption where she attended daily mass. She had a kind and compassionate soul and was friendly to everyone she met – always willing to help without judgement. Her gentle spirit and unwavering kindness left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

The family will welcome guests on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 4-8:00 pm at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood.

A Mass celebrating Arlene’s life and faith will be held on 10:00 am Friday, August 29, 2025, at Church of the Assumption, 29 Jefferson Ave., Emerson, NJ.

The procession will follow at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, 234 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
