Bonnie was a mentor and a friend. I learned so much from her about excellence and commitment. She was warm, supportive, and a bon vivant. I will never forget the good times we had together. Save a place at the hospitality suite above for me, Bonnie!

We were so fortunate when Bonnie joined Wiley. Through her dedication, her ability to create teams, train, educate and motivate our entire organization, she altered the direction of our business. She helped us become a leader in a field in which we had no presence. 

As evidenced from the many tributes, Bonnie made us, made Wiley, a better place to be. 

I worked with Bonnie for many years at Wiley.  She was a terrific editor.  She knew the disciple of Anatomy and Physiology and had many friends among its faculty.  She knew the subject matter and led her team to translate the content into expertly crafted, pedagogically sound, and beautifully illustrated textbooks and digital products.  She understood the needs of students and with her authors  helped countless of them come away with an understanding of the human body that would serve them and their patients well as they pursued careers in nursing and other allied health professions.

Bonnie was a warm and generous colleague.    She did so much for Wiley and her authors and for A&P education.  Her impact was great and she will be missed by many.

I last visited with Bonnie at her Wiley retirement dinner. She was glowing, exuberant, and laughing all evening.  I loved Bonnie and her heartfelt laughter. We originally met in 1980 in the rookie class of WCB. I always admired her; she was an excellent Editor and a dear friend. I will miss her!

Bonnie was one of a kind.  She was a wonderful teammate and I’m grateful for the wisdom that she shared with us over the years, we all learned a lot from her.  I appreciated her kindness and sense of humor, and our shared love of Bloody Marys!  She will be greatly missed.

We, at Wiley, are deeply saddened by Bonnie Roesch's passing.  Bonnie was a wonderful colleague whose work contributed mightily to the work of our authors and to the lives of students of human anatomy and physiology worldwide.   

Bonnie delivered great, positive impact.  The Wiley community was enriched by her presence, and we will all miss her greatly.

I have so many fond memories of working with Bonnie during my sales and management days at Wiley. Her expertise in the A&P market was incredibly strong. Her ability to teach Wiley sales and marketing teams the value of the works she represented was skillful and she perfectly aligned herself as a peer with educators in the field. I will miss your laugh, your teaching methods and your kindness. Rest easy Bonnie

Bonnie and I met when she was a rookie sales rep at William C. Brown and I was a biology editor there. We worked together on campus and at professional meetings. Although we both left WCB and went our separate ways we reunited at Wiley to share a lifelong friendship in publishing. Always professional and an intrepid competitor, Bonnie we shall miss you.


I have been writing textbooks since 1970 and have had an opportunity to work with many editors. Above all, it was my pleasure and honor to work with Bonnie. She thoroughly understood the anatomy and physiology market and used all of her many skills to tap into the best of her colleagues and authors. In her unassuming way, she could guide a project successfully from inception to completion. I have truly treasured my time with her as an editor and a dear friend. I am so happy that our paths intersected. We have lost  a kind, dedicated, motivated, and caring individual. Although Bonnie left us way too soon, her impact has been enormous.

I worked with Bonnie at Wiley for many years. She was an amazing colleague and her editorial excellence was second to none. She had amazing vision for understanding what students, especially nursing students needed, and brought the learning process to life. I was always pleased to represent her work and can’t imagine how many students were impacted by her. I loved when I would walk into any biology department across the country and the professor would ask about Bonnie or share a story about her. Rest in peace Bonnie! Know you were great and you made a difference.

Bonnie was my first manager at Wiley. She taught me critical lessons both about the publishing industry and how to be a professional woman. Rest in science Bonnie!
