ECKHOFF, Charles E., 65, of Crofton, MD, formerly of Harrington Park, NJ, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2012. He was born in Jersey City, NJ to Charles and Evelyn Eckhoff. Beloved husband of Maria Eckhoff. Devoted father of Christine, Sean, Craig, Tricia and Sami. Step-father of Suzy and Rose. Loving grandfather of Samantha, Kathleen and Lindsay. Cherished step-grandfather of Claudia and Adam. He was predeceased by his first wife, Linda in 1986. Before retiring, Charles was a Police Officer with The Port Authority NY/NJ. He was a decorated Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. The family will receive their friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Wednesday, 4-8PM. Interment will take place on Thursday at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veteran’s Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Charles’ name to The Wounded Warrior Project.
