Dennis Michael Burke

A proud graduate of Don Bosco Technical School, Dennis served his country proudly in the Army, National Guard. After an honorable discharge, Dennis embarked on a distinguished private career. He worked at ITT, Bendix Corporation, and later dedicated 32 years to the Defense Department, as a Civilian Contractor, at Picatinny Arsenal.

Dennis shared 53 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Diane Burke. Together, they built a loving family which includes their daughters, Kelly Levine (husband Michael), and Kim Rosenkrantz (husband Jay), as well as cherished grandchildren Maxwell, Charlie, Alex, and Hudson. Dennis is also survived by his sister, Dale Burke, sisters-in-law, Janice Breyer and June Guiffrida; brother-in-law Sal Guiffrida; and nieces and nephews Melissa (husband Jerry), Adam, Kristin (husband Brandon), and Matt (wife Megan). He was predeceased by his sister-in-law Eileen Sutton, brother-in-law Arthur Sutton, brother-in-law George Breyer, and niece, Jessica Levis.

Dennis had a deep love for old cars and music. He played the guitar, piano, and organ with joy, and was especially fond of 1950s Doo Wop. His musical talents often brought warmth to family gatherings. Dennis was a skilled handyman with a passion for home improvement projects. He took pride in gardening and growing vegetables.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 21, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life and Faith followed by a Military Honors Service at 6:00 p.m.

Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, in Dennis’ memory.

Dennis’s legacy of love and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
