Dominick Calabro

Dominick Calabro age 92 of Park Ridge, passed away on December 15, 2014 peacefully in his home. Dominick was born in Jersey City and resided in River Vale until he retired in Surf City. He served his country proudly in the Navy during World War II, and was a member and past president of the River Vale Ambulance Corp. Beloved husband of Ethel. Devoted father of Thomas (Grace), Bruce (Carolyn Ferrell), Ken (David), Stephen (Julie), Denise (Walter), and Susan (Kevin). Cherished grandfather of Michele, Jamie, Michael, Max, Julie, Leanna, Kenny, Lindsey, Lauren, Veronica, Daryle, Danielle, Erica, Kevin, Mathew. Great-grandfather of Madeleine, Josie, River, Joseph, Megan, Daniel, Madison, Kaitlyn, and Addison, and great-great-grandfather of Sophia. Also survived by his beloved sister Lena Imbornone. Dominick was predeceased by his first wife Helen. Funeral from the Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood on Thursday at 8:15 am followed by a funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Park Ridge at 9:15 am. Interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus to follow. Friends and family may visit Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
