Donald Murphy

MURPHY, Donald, 70, of Twp. Of Washington, NJ, formerly of Teaneck, NJ passed away on Thursday, February 9th, 2017. Donald is survived by his wife Linda (nee Meisse). His children Kathy, Donald and his wife Cindy, Ann and Coreen and her husband Michael. His 4 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren, as well as his aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents Florence and William Murphy as well as his siblings William, June, Gerald and Charles. Donald was a longtime owner of D&L Repair in Ridgewood and a staunch marine veteran of the Vietnam War, receiving a Purple Heart for his valor and service. He was a member of the Knights Of Columbus Council #5427, VFW Post # 6192 and American Legion; but his biggest passion was playing men’s softball. The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, Westwood, NJ on Thursday, February 16th, from 4-7PM. A Service celebrating Donald’s life and faith will be held at 7PM with private cremation to follow. Memorial contributions can be made in Donald’s name to the Wounded Warriors or to a charity of your choice.
