My sisters. Happy place was at the beach.  The only thing she loved more was her children,grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She is now watching over us all as she dances with the angels.  I will always love you for eternity.

I will remember how you shared with me the love of the beach and how to truly appreciate it.  I will cherish my memories of times spent at Ocean Beach with you (and will remember to always "dig to your elbow").  I know that in every sunrise and sunset that you will be watching over us.  We love you and  will miss you.

Andrew, Tommy, Terry, Arleen , and Jimmy, I’m so sorry for your loss.  Your mom was always fun to be around.  Always had a smile on her face.  Sending you all a big hug from AZ.

     I start 2020 with a new granddaughter and the loss of my dear friend...what a juxtaposition. My friend, died on a Wednesday, January 15, 2020. Dotty knocked on my door in 1982. She was asking for a donation for the American Heart Association. She was collecting for our block, Oakland  Avenue. We hadn’t officially met yet, so this was an opportunity for her to extend her condolences to Marty and I on the loss of our first child, a little girl, who was stillborn. She shared with me her knowledge of a shared grief, because, unbeknownst to me she was a “new” widow. I looked into her beautiful blue eyes and felt the warmth and hope that, I too, will survive my grief. Little did I know the role this woman would play in my life in the coming years.
     I watched her raise her five kids from afar. Our family grew and she watched me raise mine. We met up again at St.  Andrews Bereavement  Ministry. It seemed like we were more than qualified for this ministry. And we were. We shared retreats, coordinating events, masses, becoming Eucharistic minister‘s, beach days and establishing a deep love and admiration for each other. We served on  many ministries with Fr. Ward, our shepherd, leader and friend.
      She guided me and helped  me through troubled waters, reminding me that I was not in control. Our deepest conversations concerned our faith, our families and many other topics that included technology, which intimidated us. We worried, that what we did or didn’t do, couldn’t possibly have been enough. Somehow we reassured each other that it was, and we were created in God’s  image and love.
     I want to say that I will miss those talks, but I have them in my mind and heart. I will miss her reassuring hugs that made me feel loved. Anyone whose had one, knows exactly what I mean. Reminders of her are everywhere in my home and on our street. I don’t know how I’ll get through the missing of her, it will take time. 
      I love you for always, my forever friend ❤️    

What a special lady. It was nice to meet you and get to know you and your family. You welcomed me with open arms when I came and stay the week in the summer with Ellen Krone.  May you be in peace and at the beach.

My dear sister. I will miss you terribly. When we last saw each other, I told you that you will always be a part of my heart.

To my nieces and nephews, I love you all and will keep you in my prayers. I will always be there for you. 💞💞💞

Dorothy was always a very kind,warm,caring  woman who was always there to help anyone that needed a ear to talk to and care for many that needed care. It was quite a pleasure to be in Dorothy’s presence and to know her as the strong willing individual she was. She certainly is a angel and our deepest condolences to her entire family.
