Edward Ed John Millett

MILLETT, Edward J., 93, of Westwood, NJ, formerly of Hillsdale, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014. He was born in Bergenfield, NJ to Theodore and Anna Millett. Beloved husband of 68 years to Dorothy A. Millett (nee Stone) . Devoted father of Edward Millett and his wife Lynn, Nancy Hollmann and her husband Robert, Michael Millett and his wife Willa. Loving grandfather of Keith, Michelle, Travis, Sara Beth, Melissa, Matthew, Melissa and Michael. Cherished great grandfather of Breton, Andrew, Grace, Eli and Erin. He is predeceased by his four sisters and one brother. Ed worked as a mason throughout his whole life, and designed and built the stoneways at the Knickerbocker Country Club. He was a member of the Hillsdale Volunteer Fire Dept. He was active in Westwood Little League having been a coach. Ed was a U.S. Veteran having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II. The family will gather with their relatives and friends for memorial visitation at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Saturday, June 14 from 1-4PM with a service at 2:30PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Ed’s name to either the Westwood Volunteer Fire Dept. or the Westwood Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
