Edward Michael Strohmeyer

STROHMEYER, Edward M., 53, of River Vale, NJ, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2015. Beloved son of Beatrice A. Strohmeyer and the late Edward G. Strohmeyer. Dear brother of Lynda McGovern. Loving uncle of Kevin and Lauren McGovern. Ed was a graduate of Pascack Valley High School, class of 1980 and a graduate of Bergen Community College class of 1982. He was the owner of Precision Landscaping, River Vale, NJ. Ed was an avid fan of both the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys. Eddie always stayed true to the silver and blue- win, lose or tie. Dwight Douglas "D.D." Lewis, former linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys, once said, "Texas Stadium has a hole in its roof so God can watch his favorite team play." Eddie will be watching over his favorite team too. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. The family will receive their friends at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 69 Valley Street, Hillsdale, NJ on Monday, December 28 from 12-2PM with a Memorial Mass to follow immediately beginning at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Ed’s name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 560 Sylvan Avenue, Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632.
