Eileen M. Roman

Eileen M. Roman (Martin), 77 years old of Emerson, NJ passed away on December 18, 2012. Born in Manhattan, NY, she was raised in the Bronx. Prior to moving to Emerson, NJ 40+ years ago, she lived in Jackson Heights, NY. Eileen was vivacious and enjoyed life to the fullest. In her earlier years she was an executive secretary and later in life after raising her family, she worked in sales at Marshall’s in Emerson. She was very involved with Assumption Church and was a member of the Rosarian Society, the small communities prayer group and the Emerson seniors. She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Kenneth W. Roman; her loving daughter, Adrienne Nelson and her husband Steven; cherished granddaughter, Emma and her dearest sisters, Margaret McCullough and Rosemary Petti and her husband Edward; her loving sister-in-law, Kathleen Roman and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Becker Funeral Home on Saturday 8:30am with a 9:30am funeral mass at Church of the Assumption, Emerson, NJ. Interment to follow in Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ. Visiting hours will be held on Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Assumption Early Childhood Center, 29 Jefferson Ave., Emerson, NJ 07630 in her memory.
