Eleanor M. O'Leary

O’LEARY, Eleanor M., 90, of Cliffside Park, NJ, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2014. She was born in Jersey City, NJ to John and Mae Londregan. Beloved wife of the late Francis X. “Bing” O’Leary. Devoted mother of Michael D. O’Leary and his wife Mary Ann, Mary Jane Yannuzzi and her husband Peter, Marita O’Leary Heitmann and her late husband James, Maureen O’Leary and her companion Sal Bastardi. Dear sister of James Londregan and the late John and Walter Londregan. Loving Nanny El of Lauren and her husband Christian, Michael Peter, Michael Francis and Matthew. Cherished great grandmother of Marley. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and treasured friends. Before her retirement, Eleanor was a secretary for the Child Study Team with the Cliffside Park Public School System for over 25 years. She was a parishioner of Church of the Epiphany in Cliffside Park where she was a member of the Confraternity Society. Eleanor was an independent, loving and supportive mother and grandmother. She was actively involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she showered them with unconditional love. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Wednesday, 6-9PM and Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating Eleanor’s life and faith will be held at Church of the Epiphany, Cliffside Park, NJ on Friday at 10AM. Interment will follow at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Eleanor’s name to St. Joseph Regional High School for the benefit of the James Heitmann Memorial Scholarship Fund: St. Joseph Regional H.S., 40 Chestnut Ridge Road, Montvale, NJ 07645.
