TUOHY, Eleanor M. (nee Buff), on Thursday, May 21, 2015 of Ridgefield, CT formerly of Oradell, NJ. Beloved wife of the late John Tuohy. Devoted mother of John, Jr. and his wife Joanne; James and his wife Marilyn and Thomas and his wife Toni. Dear sister of Albert Buff. Loving and proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Eleanor was born and grew up in New York City and worked for AT&T during World War II. As the war was ending she married Lt John M. Tuohy (Jack), her husband of 50 years until his death in 1995. She resided in Oradell for over half a century raising her family and then volunteering as a Teacher’s Assistant at St. Joseph School, Oradell. She enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint. The family will receive their friends and relatives at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9PM. Funeral will be from the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:00 am, followed by a mass at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Park Ridge at 10AM. Interment Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah.
