CARNEY, Elizabeth H., 99, of Westwood, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2013. Born and raised in New York, NY to Richard and Theresa Harrison. In her youth Elizabeth was a professional swimmer and diver for the Billy Rose Aquacade Swim Show in Flushing Meadows, NY. She was a devout parishioner of St. Andrew’s RC Church where she was a member of the Columbiettes. She also belonged to the Oradell Senior Citizens Club. Beloved wife of the late Leonard Joseph Carney. Devoted mother of Leonard J. Carney Jr., Boca Raton, FL, Carol Hardy and her husband Bruce, Hewitt, NJ, Karen Giles and her husband Colin, New York, NY, and Kevin Carney and his wife Mayann, Montvale, NJ. Cherished grandmother of John, Timothy, Jay, Thomas, and Kathryn. Loving great grandmother of Tiffany, Jaiden, Dakota, and Rhyss. Funeral from the Becker Funeral Home on Thursday 9:30am with a 10:30am chapel service at the funeral home. Interment will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm.
