Eugene P. Kelly

Eugene “Gene” P. Kelly, 86 of River Vale, NJ passed away on June 6, 2012. Born in the Bronx, NY, Gene lived in Englewood and River Vale for 40 + years, before moving to Beaver, PA 4 years ago. Mr. Kelly was a WWII Navy Veteran serving on the USS Ancon. He retired from PSE& G as a senior collector & meter reader, he loved to attend mass at Our Lady of Victories Church and St. Mary’s Church, he was an avid gardener and loved to watch Notre Dame Football and Boxing. Gene was predeceased by his beloved wife, Louise “Ruth” (Carlos) Kelly in 2005 and his brothers, Gerard and Raymond Kelly. He is survived by his children, Kathleen Kelly Heyboer and her husband Ken, Maureen Kelly Piscopo and her husband Frank and Thomas J. Kelly and his wife Donna; his brothers, Joseph K., Robert K., John K. and Michael Kelly; his sisters, Mary Argenti, Helen Collins and Geraldine Quku; his grandchildren, Kate and Shaun Janicki, Kelly Piscopo, Jahn, Julie, and Mikaela Heyboer and Brian, Sean and Aidan Kelly; and his great granddaughter, Arianna Janicki. Funeral from the Becker Funeral Home on Saturday 9am with a 10am funeral mass at Our Lady of Victories Church, Harrington Park, NJ. Interment will follow in Westwood Cemetery, Westwood, NJ. Visiting hours are Friday 4-8pm at the funeral home. The family would like to specially thank Beaver Meadows Assisted Living for all their extra special love and care they gave to their father, “Gene, Gene the singing machine” Thank you for making Beaver Meadows a true home away from home for him. You will always have a special place in our hearts.
