Gerald Henderson

HENDERSON, Gerald, 84, of Pompton Plains, NJ, formerly of Montvale, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. He was born in Pokegama Twp. Pine County, MN to Elmer and Rosalia Henderson. Beloved husband of Mary Henderson. Devoted father of Julie Carabello and her husband Jerome, Dr. Kathleen Henderson and her husband Dr. Douglas Shermin, William Henderson and his wife Mary Conroy-Henderson. Dear brother of Esther Eaton, Alice Fife, Patricia Anderson, and the late Bernice Brown and Robert Henderson. Loving grandfather of Scott and his wife Erin, Brian, Lauri, Cara, Keelin, Leicia, Chance and Grace. Cherished great grandfather of Anthony. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. Gerry was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church in Park Ridge where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and a Lector. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Friday, March 21, 4-8PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating Gerry’s life and faith will be held at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Park Ridge, NJ on Saturday, March 22 at 10AM. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ. Memorial gifts may be made in Gerry’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Eva's Village, Paterson, NJ.
