John A. Heim

HEIM, John A., 66, of River Vale, NJ, formerly of Tenafly, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018. John is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years Trinidad (nee Lujan); his children, Robert Heim, Jennifer Lazar, William Heim and Rebecca Heim; his son-in-law Christopher Lazar; his daughter-in-law Jessica Heim; his grandchildren Briana Lazar and Tyler John Lazar; his siblings William Heim, George Heim and Robert Heim. He is predeceased by his parents Raymond and Alice Heim. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1970 thru 1974 in Guam. He is someone who made friends wherever he went and touched many lives. He loved to be around people at all times, having great intellectual conversations. A great storyteller, he is someone who you always want to be around. He will forever be remembered as a loving and doting husband, father, hero and friend. The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ on Sunday, September 9th from 3-5 and 7-9PM. A Mass celebrating John's life and faith will be held at Our Lady Of Mercy R.C. Church in Park Ridge, NJ on Monday, September 10th at 10AM with interment at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ to follow.
