Judi Esola

Hillsdale - Judi A. Esola (nee Boutwell), 77, passed away on May 23, 2024, in Hillsdale, NJ. She was born on September 23, 1946, in Peterborough, NH. Judi resided in Hillsdale for 53 years.

Judi was a beloved wife to Joseph H. Esola for 56 years, a cherished mother to Anthony (Suzanne) and Jodi (Jason Post), a dear sister to James Boutwell (Judy), and a loving grandmother to Jenna, Jessie, and Ryan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Judi was preceded in death by her brother David Boutwell (Shirley) and her parents Howard and Mary (Parrott).

Judi was known for her compassionate nature and dedication to helping others. She spent 18 years volunteering at Valley Hospital and was a devoted animal lover who volunteered her time visiting hospitals, nursing homes, and those in need with her therapy dogs Jake & Ruby.

In her professional life, Judi worked as a veterinary technician, pet sitter, and was involved in wildlife rescue and rehabilitation. Her hobbies included spending time with her dogs, hosting family gatherings by the pool, scrapbooking, puzzles, and hiking.

She was a mother to all.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, 2pm at 62 Hazelwood Ave, Hillsdale at the family home. All family and friends are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made towards a memorial bench in Judi's honor at Valley Hospital.

Judi will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of kindness and generosity will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
