I have just learned of your passing in July. Please know that even though I haven't seen you in a few years my heart has been missing and bleeding for you. I love you so very much. I feel at peace knowing that you are finally able to be free and removed from the awful constraints that this depressing world put upon you. You taught me so much about myself and how to be a better person ..a person who needed to show empathy and not be so selfish. Your empathy, creativity, sense of humor, wild spirit, sensitivity, and untamed soul was beyond anything I have or will ever experience. You truly are one of my favorite people and even in your absence I feel closer to your heart and soul than I do with my own mom. It took me a while to be able to see the incredible human being you were but I think you knew...you never judged and you celebrated that rare spark of individuality. You were a champion of us underdogs! I will cherish our late night and day time and anytime deep conversations about how people tick and what life meant for us. I can still hear your infectious laughter and the bright twinkle in your eyes as you were surprised by something silly I said or whenever you saw that a Big Gulp was coming your way! You appreciated the little things in life which many of us are unable to do. You were an exceptional mother who allowed your son to be who he was without any questions asked. The bond that you created was something that all moms and sons should learn from and model themselves after. You were a fighter to the end and I feel so blessed and grateful that you were like a mom to me for awhile...I look so forward to looking for you in everyday things and seeing you in places I may travel to (which is not outside of my home these days!) but I know now that a very beautiful and rebellious guardian angel is watching over those you cared for. Always know how much you were loved. Please give Casper a huge hug and kiss for me.
