Kathleen O'Brien

She was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1934. O’Brien came to the United States and met her husband Joseph Rusciano, who later passed. She would remarry with William O’Brien in 1971.

She became a realtor with Higgins Real Estate in Hillsdale. She also worked with Caldwell Banker Real Estate. She sold homes for close to 50 yrs. Real Estate was her career passion and she sold hundreds of homes in Bergen County.

She is survived by Stephanie Ferrall and Michele Rusciano, Colleen Ennis, Bill & Richard O’Brien. She had 4 grandchildren. Kristin and Megan Ennis, Gunner and McKenna Ferrall. She had a son-in-law Scott Ferrall. She was the aunt of Colleen Dillon, Kathy Picone and John Lappin. She also had a daughter-in-law, Christine Pastorino.

She was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady Mother of the Church on Woodcliff Ave, Woodcliff Lake, NJ.

With an incredible zeal for life and passion for her family, sports, friends, traveling the world, shopping, wine, good food and laughs—she will be sorely missed by all who adored her and who knew her. Known as Kathy O, aka “Granny”, she was one of a kind and a legend in the family. Anyone who knew her was blessed to have a relationship with her. She was as IRISH as the day is blue !

Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Kathleen's life and faith will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Mother Church, 209 Woodcliff Ave, Woodcliff Lake, NJ 07677. Mausoleum Entombment to follow Garden of Memories, Township of Washington, NJ.
