Lalbeharry "Tokes/Bob-Boy" Singh

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of Lalbeharry Singh (Tokes/Bob-Boy), age 84, of G Street, Fanny Village, Point Fortin, Trinidad and Tobago, who went peacefully to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 25th, 2025 and was reunited with his cherished wife Sardayeah “Dalo” Ramnarine Singh. He was born on April 30th, 1941, to Sukdai and Harripal Singh at Coromandel Village, Cedros, Trinidad and Tobago. He was the oldest of eight children, Betaboy (dec.) Joyce (dec.) Baby girl (still born) Keeran Singh, June Mahon, Rawle Singh, and Divi Sookram.

He was first married to Lynette Mohammed and father to Lydiah Guaderau (Toolie), Beeran Singh (Donald), and Kishan Singh (Herbie). He was remarried to Sardayeah "Dalo" Ramnarine Singh (dec.) and loving father of Johnny Singh and Riah “Annie” Singh-Lopez. “Nana” was the treasured grandfather to Raquel and Ravi Lopez. Also, the proud grandpa to Shanell, Rachael and Dean Singh.

"Tokes", as many knew him, was a loving, kind and generous man whose life centered around his family, work and community. He started working at the age of 14 with the Trinidad and Tobago oil refinery to help his family. His determination to be successful led him to work a second job as a Special Reserve Police officer where he retired as an Acting Assistant Superintendent. On retiring, he continued services to the wider community as a Justice of the Peace for Saint Patrick West. He served as a member of the Cap de Ville Hindu Temple and the Cedros Hindu Temple.

My loving father personified true service to mankind through his willingness and dedication to always be of assistance to anyone that came calling. Testament to this quality are the numerous times on my visits to Trinidad where conducting routine tasks in Point Fortin and environs, random people would approach me and express their gratitude and eagerness to oblige to any request I may have, no matter how trivial.

Those left to cherish his memory include his honored son-in-law Angel Lopez, his loving Uncle Ramdat, many nieces and nephews, his in-laws, and his beloved neighbor and friend from G Street, Fanny Village, Jason Jupiter.

Family and friends are invited to gather to pay their last respects on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025. The Funeral service will start at 9:30 am at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood NJ 07675. Cremation will follow at The Garden State Crematory, 4101 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Bergen, NJ 07047 at 11:15am.

Lalbeharry may be physically gone from our sight, but his spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of those who loved him.
