Dr. Leo J. McKenzie

Leo was predeceased by his beloved wife, Allie C. McKenzie (née Canupp), in 2021, and by his brother Francis G. McKenzie. He is lovingly remembered by his stepsons Eugene Milholen and his wife Cristina, and John Milholen and his wife Ann Marie; grandsons Christopher Milholen and Eric Milholen; his brother Rev. John J. McKenzie, OSA; and his sister Patricia M. Donohue; and six nieces and six nephews.

Born on June 16, 1941, Leo dedicated his life to education and the liberal arts. Over the course of more than three decades, he served as a college professor, teaching English, Communications, and Liberal Arts at institutions including Don Bosco Preparatory High School, Ramapo College, Marist College, and Mercy College. His commitment to learning and teaching left a lasting impression on countless students.

In retirement, Leo found joy in simple pleasures — spending time with his grandchildren and reading the newspaper were among his favorite pastimes.

Cremation was held privately. Leo will be laid to rest at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Marple Township, Pennsylvania at a future date.
