Margaret E. Davies

Margaret E. Davies (nee Eckerson), lifelong resident of Old Tappan, NJ, on Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Malcolm S. Davies. Loving mother of Peg Davies Vaughn and John Davies. Loving grandmother of Lauren Vaughn, Christopher, Jeremy, Justin and Heather Davies and the late Aaron Davies. Cherished great-grandmother of David, Jayla, Jeremy, Austin, Destiny and Luciana. Beloved sister of Robert D. Eckerson and the late John J. Eckerson and Wilbur H. Eckerson.

She was instrumental in the founding of Trinity Reformed Church of Old Tappan where she taught Sunday School and was its treasurer for many years. She was active in the community, served on the election board among other things. She was the only daughter of Wilbur H. and Edith Eckerson, one of the oldest families in Old Tappan NJ.

The family will receive their friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Wednesday, 9:30-11:30AM. Funeral Service at 11:30AM. Interment to follow at Old Tappan Cemetery, Old Tappan, NJ. In lieu of flowers: donations should be made to Old Tappan Library in memory of Margaret Davies
