

Margaret Theresa (nee Babcock), 75, of Emerson, NJ, daughter of Antoinette (Fanuele) Babcock-Giammona and Stuyvesant William Babcock, died on August 10th surrounded by her loving family.
Margaret is survived by her husband Ralph, her son Dominick Spataro and his wife Xiomara, her daughter Ann Marie Marrone and her husband Michael, and her grandchildren Dominique Spataro and Michael Marrone. She is predeceased by her sister Mary Ann Kosis, and survived by her sister Frances O’Neill and her husband William O’Neill, D.D.S. and adopted sister Margaret Olszowy and her husband Ron.
Margaret (aka Marge) was loved by her many nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends. She gave her time, love, and devotion to her family, her church, her community, and fundraising for charities throughout her life.
Formerly from West New York, NJ and a graduate of Memorial High School, Marge was married to Ralph, the love of her life, 55 years ago in Our Lady of Libera Church, and they worked together in their own company, Weisbart Insurance Agency in Rochelle Park, NJ where Marge held the offices of Vice President and CFO.
As a former President of the Westwood Chapter of UNICO National, and a current Governor of UNICO National District 9, Marge headed many fundraising events for The Epic School in Paramus NJ. She was honored as a Millennium Woman of the Year by the Colleen Giblin Foundation and was an active volunteer at Josephine’s Garden at HUMC, Hackensack, NJ. She and her daughter Ann Marie also own Maggie’s Trinkets to Treasures, an online fashion accessory boutique. She was especially proud to be an active Eucharistic Minister and Minister of Baptisms at Church of the Assumption in Emerson, NJ.
A celebration of her life will be held at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ from 2-8 p.m. Friday, August 12th, with a Mass at Church of the Assumption, Emerson NJ, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 13th. Interment, George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
