Maria it was an amazing journey being your friend.  Your eyes had a sparkle and your smile always sincere. Until we meet again.

Maria made my first years at BSS full of laughs and smiles.  I am blessed to have known her and to have laughed and danced with her!  She is in my prayers, as is your family!!

I have waited all this time trying to think of what to say about Maria. But there are so many stories, memories, celebrations etc. that I cannot pick any particular one that reminds me of her. She was everyone’s mother, sister, friend. We all loved her! Always the life of the party. Always a smile on her face. Always the place to go to just to congregate with friends and family.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Maria in person, but I sure wish I had.  I am blessed to have her daughter, and caretaker, Monica, as a client that grew into a life long friendship. Over the last 3 years I have learned to much about Maria, through stories and memories Monica has shared. She was surrounded by SO much love and an amazing family. Monica dedicated the last decade of her life caring for Maria, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. When times got tough, she stayed right by her side, and will continue to make sure her memory lives on. Maria seemed to always be the life of the party, and the person to light up any room she walked into. My heart breaks for her family that had to watch her suffer for so long, but I believe she is finally at peace and with the Lord. My deepest condolences go out to Monica and her entire family. May Maris rest in the sweetest peace💜

I was very blessed to have Maria in my life 💕
I taught her daughter Monica and she was also part of our faculty at Blessed Sacrament. She always had a  Smile on her face and was there for everyone. I have so many beautiful memories of sharing parties, holidays and just everyday life experiences with her. I will say Maria always kept all of us in our toes! We never knew what she was going to do next😎
She was one of the main people who tried very hard to get my husband and I together. She drove him crazy( in a good way💕) Memories that I will cherish always💕💕

MOMMY,Mom,its me,Christopher,can you hear me? It's me your son. The hardest words I've had to say over and over again for the past few years.Over time I reduced my visits to Mom from every weekend,to every other,to once a month as seeing her that way got so hard to bare.Go home Mom,its ok,You dont have to suffer anymore,we are good.I would repeat go to Heaven,be with Tio Felo,Pepa,Beno,Lorraine and all the ones You Love so much on the other side but she kept holding on. I shed so many tears in my car after I'd leave her side, it has left me without many tears left but the ones I have left since her passing have been tears of joy because she is no longer suffering and where she needs to be.   MOM can you hear me? Its me,Christopher,your son. Now that shes an angel and at my side til I see her again,I know she hears her son,she hears me again,she knows who I am and she can see the man she instilled so much love in,a sense of humor like hers and a heart to Love all that are good to me and those that I love. MOM,you were right about readers digest,LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE was the best part of that magazine. Love you,Til we meet again ♡Christopher Michael♡

I grew up across the street from you and your family and you will forever be in my memories of being a wonderfully warm and witty dear friend to not just my family but to all of those who had been blessed to have known you. I will always picture you at your kitchen window watching us play and grow up, you always watched out for us. I can’t think about you with out smiling. Ever since I was a kid,  remember Maria's kindness and joyful spirit. I was always welcomed with a warm embrace in her house and a most delicious meal. The parties that she and Candy hosted will forever be etched in my memories as the best. Thank you for rooting for me Maria. I wish the Garcia family strength and peace during this difficult time. I have so many memories of time spent at your house. Hanging out with Monica meant hanging out with you and that made it extra special (no offense Moni). Hot Mama you encouraged our crazy in the best possible way and I will never be able to express the immense gratitude I feel. You helped shaped who I became because of who you were. Maria you will always be living and loved in our hearts. So many memories that we will always remember, and how you enriched our hearts and brought so many smiles and laughter to all the family and friends. I will remember the little chuckle I felt inside whenever you introduced me to new acquaintances as my "baby brother" no matter how old I was. Maria not only were you my sister, but you became a mother to me after mom passed away.  You were also my friend.  I will always remember our phone chats almost very night when I was going home from work.  The chats would make the drive seem shorter and would always make me forget about the long boring drive.  Maria my dear and loving sister, I feel like another piece of my heart has been torn out.  I love you and God bless you.  All of our passed loved ones will be waiting with open arms.  I'm not going to say goodbye, I'm going to say until we meet again on the other side.  Rest in peace my beloved sister.

Only one memory I can never share...we had to many. You were my best friend not only my Mom and I had the biggest blessing being your advocate with Dad. Forever grateful our family entrusted us to care for you. I became so strong because of you. I love you Mom. Fly high!

My dearest sister, we shared so much together there is no one memory that I can share as the best. We had good times and bad times, but always together. I loved our vacations, dances, parties and teaching together. You were always a loving, generous person and were loved by everyone you met. I will miss you so much, but I know you will be dancing merengues in heaven. 

Parties at Maria’s will always be a great memory for me . There was always lots of music, dancing and good clean fun . She always made me feel welcomed at her home .
