

Born in Detroit, Michigan on May 19, 1929 to David and Ida Fealk, Marilyn graduated from Central High School and attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where she studied French. She is pre-deceased by her older brother, Louis K. Fealk, whom she admired and adored.
Marilyn married Albert M. Borkin on November 23, 1948 and they shared an adventurous and loving life together until his death in 2006. While residing in Huntington Woods, Michigan and Hollywood, Florida, Marilyn and Al enjoyed boating, scuba diving and traveling the globe. They imparted their sense of exploration onto their children and grandchildren. While raising her family, Marilyn taught Hebrew School at Temple Israel of Detroit for 25 years and later worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
She will always be remembered for her sense of humour, style, and devotion to those closest to her. Marilyn delighted in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. She is survived by sons Mark (Holly), Sheldon (Sandy) and daughter, Bonnie, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 16 at 11AM at Montefiore Cemetery, 121-83 Springfield Boulevard, Springfield Gardens – Queens, New York.
Shiva will be observed at the family residence in Westwood, New Jersey following the service, and on Friday and Sunday afternoons.
