Mary Barbara Gruber

GRUBER, Mary Barbara, 70, of Westwood, NJ, formerly of River Vale, NJ, passed away on Sunday, August 13th, 2017. Mary is survived by her dear siblings Michael Gruber and his wife Kathy and Christine Ciaccio and her husband Matthew; Nieces and Nephew Gina DeMar and her husband Chance, Stephanie Scott and her husband Ian, Michael Gruber and his wife Vanessa, Sara Kurpick and her husband Michael, Cortnie LaMere and her husband Douglas and Taylor Ciaccio-Morrissey and her husband Scott. Mary was an English Teacher at Fair Lawn High School for 42 years; always making sure to balance her passion for education and her zest for life and laughter with "Friday Fun Days", which included candy and prizes. She could be found supporting her students at the local Cutters Lacrosse Games. During her summers, Mary would be found shopping for her nieces and nephew at Marshall's or T.J. Maxx OR waitressing at Marcy's in Park Ridge, NJ. She loved her pets, especially Freckles and Middy. The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd, Westwood, NJ on Thursday, August 17th from 7-9PM and Friday, August 18th, from 2-4 and 7-9PM. A Celebration Of Mary's Life will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, August 19th at 10AM with Private Cremation to follow.
