HODDER, Mary R., 80, formerly of Park Ridge, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. She was born in New York City to Richard and Mary Hodder. Beloved mother of Michael Taylor and his wife Darlene, James Taylor and his wife Erika and the late Thomas Taylor. Dear sister of Dr. Richard Hodder. Loving grandmother of Samantha, Matthew and Declan. Mary was a graduate of Iona College and St. Vincent’s School of Nursing. She was the Director of Nursing for the Sisters of Charity at the Convent of Mary the Queen, Yonkers, NY. Mary loved to play bridge with her “girls” in the Bridge Group for 37 years. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Friday, August 4 from 2-4 and 7-9PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating Mary’s life and faith will be held at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Park Ridge, NJ on Saturday, August 5 at 10AM. Entombment will follow at Cemetery of the Ascension, Airmont, NY.
