Maureen Roche

Maureen Roche (nee Dolan) of Washington Township, N.J. passed away May 9, 2025 after a short illness. Maureen was born Sept 26, 1937 in New York City to Brigid McDonnell and Peter Dolan. Maureen was raised on 106th Street on Manhattans West Side and graduated from Ascension Parish School (Class of 1951) and Blessed Sacrament Girls High School (Class of 1955). After graduation she went to work as a stenographer/secretary for the FBI and then joined the New York City branch of the Waterfront Commission. Maureen married Patrick Roche in 1961. Together they raised three children Deirdre, Maureen, and Patrick. Maureen was predeceased by her daughter Maureen Corry, her siblings Catherine Roberts, and Peter Dolan Jr. Maureen is survived by her husband Patrick, daughter Deirdre McMahon (Patrick) of Ireland and son Patrick of New Jersey and two Grandsons Kevin McMahon and Aidan McMahon. Maureen was a quiet and kind person and will be missed by all that knew her. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the LAM Foundation at https://www.thelamfoundation.org/

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 am - 10:30 am at Becker Funeral Home, Westwood.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel, Township of Washington.

Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
