Michael Bruce Ryan

Michael Bruce Ryan passed away on Monday, January 18. He was 34 years old. Michael (Mikey or Nolie) lived in Hackensack, NJ. He was a nursing assistant at Kessler Rehabilitation Center in Saddle Brook, NJ.

To know Michael was to love him. He was kind, compassionate, and always an advocate for the underdog. He loved to travel, loved his family and friends, loved his job, and absolutely loved Notre Dame football. He was always happy with what he had and never wanted for anything more. He never had a bad word to say about anyone, and he found happiness everywhere he went. And he was truly loved by all.

Predeceased by his father, Francis Ryan, Michael is survived by his mother and stepfather, Sharon Ryan and Scott Meissner, and his sister, Rebecca Ryan. Michael was also predeceased by his grandfather, Francis Ryan, his grandmother, Mary Ryan, his grandmother, Janet Villano, his uncle Ed Birrer, and his uncle, Donald Giglio. He is survived by his grandparents, Michael & Eve Villano; aunts and uncles, Kevin Ryan (Julie), Maureen Myers, Bernadette Ryan-Giglio, Michael & Patricia Ryan, Erin & Rich Tuntigian, Janet & Tom Stuhr, Kathi DeTrafford, Debby Birrer, Janet & Art Balsamo; cousins Pat & Jeanette Myers, Ben & Vanessa Myers, Matt Myers, Kyle & Sarah Ryan, Chris Giglio, Ceili Giglio, Michael & Carly Giglio, Meabh Ryan, Frank Ryan, Nicolette Tuntigian, Kim Tuntigian, Danielle Tuntigian, Lynne Birrer, Max Birrer, Sarah Moore, Julia Moore, Steven & Allison Woerner, David & Arianna Woerner, Suzy DeTrafford, Kim Stuhr, Matthew Stuhr, Tim Stuhr, Daniel Stuhr, and Molly Stuhr; his step siblings Danny, Hayley, and Courtney Meissner; and his first best friend, Jennifer Deppert.

Mikey was loved, and he loved with no judgements. We know he is now our angel and is most likely eating chicken wings and sushi and drinking Irish whiskey up in heaven.
