Robert John Zawitkowski

Zawitkowski, Robert J, 69, son of the late John and Natalie Zawitkowski was born in Passaic, and resident of Westwood NJ for 33 years. He passed away on December 6, 2017. Beloved husband of Margaret (Flynn) for 42 years; devoted father of Suzanne Ziegler, husband Jacob and Karen Zawitkowski; and brother of Dick Zawitkowski, wife Irene. He is survived by many loving brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Robert graduated from NY Institute of Technology. He was a retired Vice President & Controller of Pascack Community Bank. He was an avid watcher of sports and enjoyed the NY Giants, NY Yankees, Syracuse Basketball and Penn State Football. He was a founding member of his fantasy football league. As an active member of the community, he was the former treasurer of the Lions Club in Ridgewood, coach of CYO basketball and Westwood recreation softball and former member of the board of the Washington Twp. Swim Club. Robert had a great sense of humor and could always make you laugh. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Visitation at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at St. Andrew’s R.C. Church, Westwood at 10:30 am, followed by interment in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
